Hourly Care (Domiciliary): When someone needs support at certain times of day, for example two hours in the morning to help them get washed and dressed.

Live-in: When someone requires round the clock support. For example, perhaps they’re prone to falls and so it’s best if there is someone on hand in case of emergencies.

Overnight: When someone needs a carer present during sleeping hours, you can specify if the carer needs to be awake or if they can sleep.

Private funding: If an individual has over £23,250 in savings (this does not include assets), and there are no nursing care needs.

Local authority funding: If an individual has below £23,250 in savings (this does not include assets), then they are likely to be eligible for funding support from their local council.

NHS funding: In some cases, the NHS will pay for the entirety of an individual’s care fees under a package known as NHS Continuing Healthcare (NHS CHC).
