Service
Residential Care for Children with Disabilities
Specialist residential care for children with PD, LD, sensory impairment and EBD.
About this service
We offer specialist residential care for children with moderate to severe learning disabilities — including Physical Disabilities (PD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Sensory Impairment (SI) and Emotional and/or Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Every person is different, with different abilities, needs and goals, and our care reflects that.
Our staff support each individual to develop a well-rounded base of knowledge and skills — covering managing money, healthy lifestyle, education and training, housekeeping and accommodation, general life skills, and being a citizen with an awareness of legal issues.
All staff have achieved or are working towards a Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce Diploma, with the opportunity to develop their career by progressing onto Level 4. Regular training, team learning events and skills practice keep the team confident and current.
We believe every young person deserves the best chance to grow, develop and receive an education that prepares them for a bright and productive future. Our home arranges education either through local schools and college or through alternative education providers, with courses and classes tailored to each child's individual needs, abilities and educational level.
